DLA 2.0 [now astorik] and the Modern Data Stack for Growth

👋 Oh hello! Welcome to the 10th issue of Data-led [now astorik] newsletter! Subscribe here if you haven’t already.
In this very special issue, I’m sharing what I’ve been working on for the last 6 months.
Disclaimer: astorik is vendor-neutral and we don’t make any affiliate revenue or referral fee from data technology companies.

What is the Modern Data Stack?
Modern Data Stack (MDS), in almost every context, refers to a set of tools that caters to the needs of analysts and data people.
Therefore, it is fair to refer to this stack as the Modern Data Stack for Analytics as the tools in the stack primarily help build a strong analytics foundation.
While product and growth teams do benefit from an MDS for Analytics, their data needs don’t get a whole lot of attention and are often deprioritized by data teams (which is fair as data teams are perpetually overwhelmed).
With that in mind, I’d like to propose the Modern Data Stack for Growth — a set of data tools that caters to the needs of GTM teams. 👇

DLA 2.0 is live! [Now astorik]
I believe this is a step towards the mission of demystifying the data space, especially for non-data people!
DLA is a place to learn how to work with data and get expert answers to questions about data tools and technologies.
👉 For data product companies, DLA offers a place to build their community presence and engage with prospects, partners, and customers via education.
👉 For data practitioners, DLA is a place to share their knowledge, exhibit their expertise, and gain visibility in the data space.
👉 For everybody else, DLA is a place to learn how to work with data and get expert answers to questions about data tools and technologies.
The long-term vision is to offer a massive data knowledge base comprising expert, unbiased answers to questions about data.
Forward this to a friend or two and help us spread the word! 💗
